The R.C.Allen MODEL 22 HORIZON INDICATOR has been designed to assure
precision performance and long life, even though it may be subjected
to severe operating environments. This instrument is engineered
with a minimum of machined parts, providing lower initial cost and
lower maintenance cost throughout a long life of accurate service.
The attractive new extended color schemes and realistic spherical
display virtually obsolete any other attitude gyro. With the ultra-precise
spherical presentation, old parallax problems have been eliminated.
In this unit, R.C.Allen has combined the most recent technological
and human factors engineering concepts to produce the new standard
for safety in a more accurate IFR reference for the beginning instrument
pilot or Cat II captain. Compact in design the directional gyros
are lightweight weighing in at approximately 2 lbs., yet are reliable
and solid due to the strength of the aluminum castings and the stainless
steel parts that are used in the critical wear points. Can be easily
installed in any standard 3 1/8 panel cutout. Full freedom design
allows accurate indication even after extreme maneuvers. A background
of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and quality control,
gained during the years of manufacturing gyros to meet government
specification, has made it possible for R.C. Allen to produce these
quality instruments at substantially lower prices. These instruments
are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship,
under normal use and service when properly installed. All details
